ElDorar AlShamia:

The Russian newspaper “Nezavisimaya Gazeta” strongly criticized the Assad army, saying that the curcial   military eforts have been taken by its allies, particularly the Russians, and stressed that the decisive role in protecting the Assad regime in Damascus was for Russia, revealing a failure among the Assad forces.

The newspaper said that the factions that attacked the areas of the Syrian regime-held  abruptly in Damascus benefited from tunnels dug underground, planted with large explosive devices, detonated near the sites of the Assad forces, in addition to car bombs.

A clear weakness in the ranks of the Assad army

The newspaper pointed out the inability of the military intelligence and reconnaissance units, which could not detect the attack before it took place, and did not discover the large tunnels under the neighborhoods of the capital, and quoted Russian military experts as saying that "the reluctance of the Syrians to move quickly, accompanied with the word of  “Tomorrow" is impossible to overcome; making a comprehensive survey to uncover such tunnels is a fantasy. "

"What can be said if the soldiers leave their positions spontaneously, even during combat confrontations, and leading officers with great difficulty understand the meaning of military discipline, the need to carry out the combat mission, and the same position taken by the Syrians in dealing with the periodic maintenance of equipment and weapons, which causes rapid damage, and talk about the rear logistics support units in the Syrian Arab Army is a separate subject in general. "

"Not only that, the Russian military advisers have to train on everything, and they have to do it very carefully, pointing out the mistakes and flaws with great delicacy. It should be said here that a group of Russian military experts and advisers in Syria operate at all levels of public structure To the armed forces and to the headquarters of the General Staff, to the supply departments and to the military forces on the ground. "

A reminder of the Assad regime's need for Russian protection

The role played by the Russian military advisers in repelling the attack by the revolutionary factions against Damascus was decisive and pivotal. "The Syrian generals are not capable of making their own decisions in circumstances that require decisive change in the emerging situation, but the success of the Syrians on this battlefield this time is probably owed to Russian special military fighters. "

The Assad army is unable to accomplish anything by itself

The newspaper adds: "Returning to the word of " Tomorrow" if the Syrians remained alone without the intervention of the Russians, to take the process of eliminating the terrorists who made their way to Damascus it will take another month, the attack , skilled tactical maneuvers, and break the enemy, all these features do not exist in any Arabic army. Moreover, a source in the Syrian Ministry of Defense said: "Some of the attacking formations have been besieged and completely eliminated, and this is not exactly similar to the pattern of the Syrian army. Russian special operations forces in Syria do so. "

Nezavisimaya Gazeta pointed out the "very useful" role of Russian special military companies in supporting and protecting the Assad forces on the ground. "Of course, the burden of military operations is largely on the shoulders of other allies of the Syrian army, Lebanese and Iranians, The Russians are most effective in fighting in Syria, and at all levels, from planning, management and logistics, to the combat activity of the forces. "

The factions of the "Faylaq al-Rahman", in addition to the "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" and the movement "Ahrar Sham "were able to inflict heavy losses on the Assad forces, in a surprise attack on Tuesday on the positions of control in neighborhoods of the capital city, and managed in the battle to seize control of large parts of the industrial city, on the international road passing between the neighborhood of Jobar and Qaboun district, as well as textile , Karash, and Shams plants, as well as the fire control on Fares Al-Khoury Street and garage Abbasids, as Assad forces regained some points after that.

The losses of Assad's human forces in the new offensive climbed 48, including officers, most of them from the Republican Guard and Iraqi militias, as well as eight prisoners and three tanks.
